From the team behind The European, City Wine Shop & Spring Street Grocer, Barbarella Gelato & Wine has opened its doors within the historic Block Arcade. With its curved black ironwork, marble counters and dark oak tables, it conjures up the nostalgia of cafes in the grand railway stations of France & Italy. Block Arcade has always been worth a detour – but now there’s good reason to pause a little longer and enjoy a nice glass of red.

Named after the 60s sci-fi movie starring Jane Fonda for its loose European ties and psychedelic feel. We created an identity referencing two core themes. The 60s Barbarella poster and classic French / Italian wine bar typography styles. This extended onto the menus, business cards, website and signage.
