Normally I wouldn’t showcase fictional case studies or examples from design courses but I had lots of fun illustrating for this project and thought it would be nice to show here.

It’s a user interface design concept for a flexible dog walking website, called Bruno's Best Friend. Part of a UI Design Course at RMIT in 2021. Following a process of desktop research, user flows, wire frames, user testing and high fidelity designs. Designed in Figma, Photoshop and After Effects.

The Brief:

Design a friendly dog walkers website to help people book a local walker at short notice. The results from UX research discovered it’s often difficult for busy professionals and families to find quality time to walk their dogs everyday. People require a flexible and reliable way to book a local dog walker, available at short notice.

Solution:

The UI design was built around a bright contemporary colour pallette and fun illustrations of dogs (that I drew one afternoon with my five year old son) to visually differentiate from competitors and bring some emotion and character into the user experience.

A clear bold typeface, bright colour pallette and custom hand drawn icons were designed for a consistent look and feel true to the fun and friendly nature of the site.
